Description
Summit Education hosts virtual summer programs for high-achieving students in grades 8–12.
Its flagship programs include the Summit STEM Fellowship (SSF) and Summit Research Scholars (SRS):
Summit STEM Fellowship (SSF): The Summit STEM Fellowship (SSF) helps students explore diverse STEM fields and career pathways. Students learn from 50+ mentors from Harvard, Stanford, and MIT and build core life skills for high school, college, and beyond. The fellowship is a flexible 10 - 15 hour/week commitment, allowing students to participate alongside other summer activities.
Summit Research Scholars (SRS): Summit Research Scholars (SRS) helps students get started with original research. Students learn core research methodologies and technical skills, from literature reviews and research question development to Python programming, data science, and statistics. Throughout the program, students develop an original research proposal.
The mission of Summit Education is to show students that they can achieve incredible things, work on meaningful projects, and create real impact even while in high school. It's 1,000+ alumni, spanning more than 60 countries, have launched global nonprofits, conducted research at leading universities, and driven change across diverse fields at a young age.
Summit Education programs are admissions-based. In 2025, Summit programs received over 4,500 applications from students in 100+ countries. Admissions are rolling, and students are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
