Description

Groups and classes are encouraged to utilize the Audubon Louisiana Nature Center for self-guided field trips.

A Group Access Permit is required for all group activities. These permits are free and limited, and must be approved on a case-by-case basis for groups of up to 100 guests (per day). The Permit is granted for the day of the field trip or activity. There is no fee for the one (1) day Group Access Permit. Visit the website for more details and to request a day use permit.

Trails are open 8:30am- 3pm Monday - Saturday. The Interpretive Center is open Thursday -Saturday only 10am -2pm.

If your group is interested in our Planetarium & Nature Dome Theater, we have regularly scheduled shows Wednesday - Saturday. These shows are ticketed and available for the public to purchase online.

Do you and your group want to learn about the wonders of our planet, but have limited time to do so, or aren’t able to make it to our regularly scheduled showtimes? Private Audubon Planetarium & NatureDome Theater presentations just might be the answer you’re looking for! These options will be available starting November 1, 2024 so be sure to check back on our website for updates!

Audubon Nature Institute
Audubon Nature Institute (ANI) is a vital contributor to environmental education in New Orleans and across South Louisiana. ANI includes Audubon Zoo, Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, and Audubon Louisiana Nature Center.
