Description
Run with us at our end-of-season 5K celebration! Every Girls on the Run season culminates in a celebratory 5K event, where girls and community members of all abilities experience the joy and achievement of crossing the finish line. This moment of triumph is a powerful memory that instills confidence and resilience in each participant. Everyone in our program receives a commemorative medal, and for many, this moment marks a major personal accomplishment. This year's 5K will be hosted at The Shrine in Metairie on November 9th, 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m., with registration opening at 7:30 a.m. The race will include many festivities, including our second line, inspiration village (where runners can get all dolled up with facepaint and hair color), and a complimentary breakfast of champions.
Our 5k is open to all community runners and walkers, all community runners and running buddies will be timed with our chipped running bib. Register to run with us today!
Free to attend. $40 for Adult Runners. $25 for Youth Runners.

Girls on the Run has fun, evidence-based after-school programs for 3rd-5th graders and 6th-8th graders that inspire participants to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others. Trained coaches use physical activity and dynamic discussions to build social, emotional and physical skills while encouraging healthy habits for life!
