Supporting Immigrant Students Training

SUPPORTING IMMIGRANT STUDENTS DETAILS:

ALAS' Supporting Immigrant Students (SIS) training is designed for full team participation, including teaching and non-teaching staff, in order to establish common understanding, language and knowledge of supports. It lasts 90-120 minutes and there are pre and post assessments built in to that time. The cost of the SIS training is $5,000. While each school is charged separately for training, multiple school teams can attend a training together online or in person.

• academic, cultural, therapeutic, communication & legal supports

• local supports for educators

• local supports for students and families

• action steps beyond the schoolhouse
