Description
The COOL Cooperative Cohort is a weekend/after school program for middle-high school students that offers hands-on film education with professionals in the industry. Our Spring Orientation is January 18th, 12pm at Second Line Stages. The COOL is a creative space for those passionate about film making. We provide work experience for those 16 and up through our paid programming as well as networking in the workforce. We bolster student voices with our short films, while teaching skills that can lead to a career in the industry. We strive to inspire collaboration, problem solving, and leadership skills by giving our students real world situations and guiding them to success. Our Cohort produces multiple short films throughout the year heavily involving our students in the process. COOL Students gain responsibilities and experience as they grow and progress through the program ultimately ending with the skills and connections to gain employment in the field after graduation.
Joining the Cohort give you acess to Saturday classes focused on the elements of the film industry from camera to lighting to script writing. We create opportunites for our students to practive the skills they learn in class through students films, commercials, and more! Come to Orientation to find out more and join!
