Description
The Louisiana Farm to School Program will be providing one-day school gardening for sustainability trainings in both the New Orleans and Lafayette areas to support farm to school programming across the state.
Who: Teachers, gardeners, volunteers, Louisiana Master Gardeners who support farm to school gardening. Anyone involved in farm to school is invited to apply.
What: One-day training featuring lectures and hands-on learning, including educational lessons and activities for student learning.
When: September 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or October 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: New Orleans Botanical Garden (Sept 12th) or Ira Nelson Horticulture Center in Lafayette (Oct 15th)
Cost: $30 to cover food and materials
There are limited spaces for the training. Additional dates will be added in other areas around the state.
