Description

Ready to learn the basics of movie stunts?

Join The COOL Cooperative for a free workshop where you'll discover the secrets behind action-packed scenes!

This introductory workshop demystifies the world of action choreography by focusing on the essential boundary between acting and professional stunt work.

Students will learn the theoretical side of industry safety, including how to define "on-set combat" and identifying the specific triggers that require a certified stunt coordinator to be called to set.

The session features a single, focused physical activity—mastering the non-contact strike—to teach the mechanics of distance, camera angles, and "selling" a reaction without making physical impact. By the end of the class, you will understand how to balance cinematic intensity with the strict safety protocols required on a professional union set.

Open to all middle and high school students.
