Description
The Teacher Free-Store is hosting a Candyland-themed Art Supply Sweep! This event is focused on supporting Visual Art Teachers, as well as k-12 educators who incorporate arts and crafts into their classroom.
Get ready for a silly and immersive Candyland experience! Teachers will have access to additional arts and crafts materials not regularly available in the Free-Store. Attendance does not count against your quarterly Free-Store shop.
Available items include:
paint (all types)
textiles (wallpaper, carpet, felt, material)
paper (sketch pads, art, tracing, & construction)
jewelry & beading supplies
sewing supplies
glue (all types)
craft materials (pom poms, glitter, pipe cleaners, glitter)
...and more!
This is a collaborative event with KIDsmART, Spectrum Arts, and our Equipment Lending Library. There will be multiple activities available to engage with. There is a Communities of Practice: Found Objects Mural lesson plan being held by head librarian, Szabi, and Journey Allen of Spectrum Arts. They will help you develop a mural concept to integrate art with a specific lesson plan from your class. This is relevant to all grades, all subject levels.
KIDsmART is hosting build a sensory board station to walk you through creating a tactile board that soothes overwhelmed and overstimulated students of all abilities.
